Weapons and explosives discovered in Trench Town

The Jamaica Defence Force (JDF) said it is concerned about the discovery of a C4, which was found in Trench Town on Thursday.

According to the army, the C4 has significant destructive power.

A homemade shotgun and a tube of C4 plastic high explosives were found by a team of JDF soldiers and Jamaica Constabulary Force police during a cordon and search operation.
Because of its stability and sheer destructive power, C-4 has attracted the attention of terrorists and guerilla fighters all over the world. 
 
The JDF, the shotgun and a tube of C4 plastic high explosives were found in the ceiling of the house.

The items were taken into custody by the police who also detained a number of men in connection with the find.
