'Hello' shot and killed

Police are probing the killing of a 37-year-old man who was shot dead on Old Hope Road, St Andrew, in the wee hours of yesterday morning.

He has been identified as Kirk Francis, otherwise called 'Hello', a resident of Downer Lane in Swallowfield, Kingston 6.

Reports reaching THE STAR are that at about 3:15 a.m., residents summoned the Stadium police after they heard loud explosions in the area. On the arrival of the police, Francis was seen on the roadway with gunshot wounds.

He was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
