Eight persons detained for lottery scamming in St James

Eight persons were detained by the St James police for lottery scamming between yesterday and today in two separate operations.   

Reports are that about 5 o'clock this morning, cops from the Area One Lottery Scam Task Force were on an operation in the Williamsfield area of Hamptons, St James, when two men and two women were taken into custody. A BMW X6 was also seized during the raid.

Yesterday, four persons were arrested in Glendevon for their suspected involvement in lottery scamming. Several electronic devices were also seized.
