Man killed, woman injured in Spanish Town shooting

The St Catherine police are now on the scene of a murder which took place in the Spanish Town bus park early this morning. One man was killed and a woman is now nursing gunshot wounds.

The deceased has been identified as Adrian Clarke of a Spanish Town address.

Information from the police's Corporate Communications Unit are that about 7:50 a.m., Clarke was standing in the bus park along Morrison Street, when he was approached by armed men who shot him several times.

A female, who was also standing in the bus park, was shot in her leg.

Both injured persons were taken to the hospital where Clarke was pronounced dead. The injured woman is still being treated and is said to be in stable condition.

The police have increased their presence in the area since the incident. However, they are yet to make an arrest.
