Driver spends Easter in jail for wounding

April 12, 2017

A driver will spend his Easter holidays in jail after he was remanded in custody for seriously wounding another man during a dispute in Rockfort, east Kingston, on March 7.

When the matter was called up in the Kingston and St. Andrew Parish Court on Wednesday, the accused 27-year-old Andrelle Trowers, through his attorney, expressed remorse for his actions.

However, parish judge Simone Wolfe-Reece advised the attorney to wait for full disclosure on the matter before she presented her arguments.

Trowers is to return to court on April 27.

The complainant, who was on hand for the proceedings, told the court that he was hospitalised for weeks because of the injury.
