A policeman is now under investigation by the Inspectorate of Constabulary after he was seen 'getting on bad' at Jamaica Carnival on Sunday.

"They should not be behaving in that manner. There is no two ways about it," Assistant Commissioner of Police at the Inspectorate of Constabulary, Calbert Francis, told THE STAR yesterday.

THE STAR posted a picture of the cop in question on its Instagram page, during its coverage of the event. The picture captioned, 'Over on Lady Musgrave Road', shows the officer sitting in the trunk of the police car, with a huge grin on his face, while a reveller wines in his lap, and another sits beside him.

Francis was tight-lipped on the details of the investigation thus far, but said he learnt of the gyrating cop during a meeting yesterday.

"We got some instructions from the commissioner just today [Monday], so we are doing some investigations [on the incident] as we speak," Francis said.

In the days leading up to the event, head of the force's communications unit, Senior Superintendent Stephanie Lindsay, issued a stern warning that officers who engage in unbecoming behaviour at the event will be punished.

She noted that sanctions can range from a warning to termination, depending on the cop's actions.

However, those warnings seemed to have fallen on deaf ears, as multiple officers were captured at the event having a whale of a time with the patrons.

Another video making the rounds online shows an officer smiling sweetly as a reveller 'backs it up' on him. Seemingly amused by the woman's skills, the officer nudges his colleague to observe the happenings.

The clips have attracted several comments from persons online.

"Him nah go look so happy when him reach work a morning. Gwaan enjoy the moment," one person said.
