Man's throat slashed during argument

The St Ann police have launched a manhunt for a man who slashed another man's throat on Sunday night in Watt Town.

Dead is 38-year-old Eldon York of a Watt Town address.

He is the 15th person to be killed since the start of the year in the Garden Parish.

According to the police, at about 8 p.m., York and another man got into an argument at a shop.

Reports reaching THE STAR are that the argument became physical.

During the fuss, the man reportedly pulled a knife and slashed York's throat before escaping on a motorcycle.

York was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The Corporate Communications Unit confirmed the incident.
