Police following 'number of leads' in Todd shooting
The police say they are leaving no stones unturned as they seek to apprehend the perpetrator or perpetrators responsible for last week's Washington Boulevard gun attack on Shemara Todd, the wife of businessman Corey Todd.
Yesterday, the police told our news team that they are following a number of leads.
Head of the police's Corporate Communications Unit, Assistant Superintendent of Police Dahlia Garrick told THE STAR: "Investigators are looking at a number of leads to include some (information being circulated) on social media. We are not ruling out anything."
Reports are that shortly after 5 p.m. last Friday, gunmen travelling on two motorcycles opened fire on a Mercedes-Benz SUV, which was being driven by Todd.
The injured woman, who received multiple gunshot wounds, was assisted to hospital where she underwent emergency surgery.
One rumour going around about the incident is that persons who rushed to assist Todd had stolen cash from the SUV after it crashed into a wall.
However, the police told THE STAR yesterday that they have no official report of that.
