Our news team also gathered that the incident was allegedly captured on video and has since been circulating.

Denyelle Anderson, public relations officer at INDECOM, told our news team that the woman made a report to INDECOM.

Anderson told THE WEEKEND STAR: "Yes, we did get a report about it and the investigators are following it. So, yes, INDECOM will be probing the incident."

When our news team checked with the police, head of the St Thomas Police Division, Superintendent Marlene Wilson-Christie, told our news team she was unaware of the alleged incident.

Wilson-Christie said: "I have no knowledge. You are bringing it to my attention."

On learning that the matter had been brought to INDECOM's attention, Wilson-Christie said: "Seeing that she went to INDECOM, it's perhaps why she never thought it necessary to come to my office. If the incident took place in the Yallas area, then a report should have been made there and I am not aware of any."
