The usually bubbly social media sensation Candy appeared frightened and confused yesterday after she was reunited with family members at her home on Benbow Street, Kingston.

Her family members claim that she was taken away on Sunday and beaten by persons who were upset that she was being managed by Altimond 'Kido' Cameron.

Candy, known for her 'wow' slang, was found in the Spanish Town area of St Catherine yesterday morning.

But the family reunion was overshadowed as Candy's manager and one of her previous associates almost exchanged blows yesterday.

The men have been involved in a dispute about which of them should be managing her career.

As the incident intensified, Candy cowered in fear. Her small frame shook like a leaf as she struggled to come to terms with the tug-o-war over her. She seemed to have very little say in the matter.

Meanwhile, Cameron said he would be heightening security for him and his client following the confrontation yesterday on Benbow Street that threatened to turn deadly.

"I am not taking anything lightly because not only have they threatened me but they have tried to attack me. All of this is happening because Candy's mother decided that she was not going to let her daughter work with them (previous associates) anymore. Candy said she was beaten by these individuals and based on what transpired today, I will be beefing up security once I am on the road with her," he said.

Meanwhile, as the brawl threatened to escalate, Candy, bursting into tears, told THE STAR that she wanted to return to her lover, Jason, who lived in Old Harbour.

Surrounded by Cameron and her family, she stated that she was beaten by the same person who had threatened Cameron and was accused of being ungrateful.

OFFERED A DRINK

"Him call mi and say we a go to a party and when mi go in the car him ask me if mi want something to drink and mi say mi want a Pepsi. Him give mi a Coke instead, and from mi drink it mi just feel different. Mi feel weak and mi can't sleep. Him carry mi to a show and mi perform and a just $1,000 mi get and a gift basket," she said.

Wearing the same clothes that she had left her home in on Sunday, Candy pointed to a swelling on one of her legs and said it was caused by a hit that she got from a piece of board.

"When him slap mi with the board it come like a seven people mi a see ... . When mi get the box inna mi face, mi don't know mi self," a tearful Candy told THE STAR.

Candy, whose given name is Kerisha Brandon, has garnered more than 22,000 fans on her Instagram page since a video of her dancing to Vybz Kartel's Come Home went viral.
