A St James man has been accused of breaking into a woman's house and stealing her dildo. Garcia Gillette, of a Granville address, is charged with housebreaking and larceny. He had his bail extended when he appeared before judge Sandria Wong-Small in the St James Parish Court last Wednesday.

Allegations are that on January 19, the complainant got a report from her son that Gillette was at her house. On her arrival, the complainant went to her room and saw a ratchet knife that did not belong to her. She also saw a Slam condom, one of her panties and a bottle of essence sil. She also noticed that her dildo was missing.

The police were summoned, and, while they were there, Gillette returned to the premises and was chased and held. He was found in possession of a pink dildo, which the complainant identified as hers. He was arrested.

Psychiatric report

During Wednesday's court sitting, the prosecution revealed that it was in possession of a psychiatric report which indicated that Gillette was fit to stand trial.

However, Gillette's lawyer, Kayodii Fletcher, suggested that an additional report should be prepared for his client.

"In light of the new developments, I'd inquire if it would be impractical to have another report. It's just to be on the side of caution," Fletcher told Wong-Small.

"What I'd suggest is that you take your instructions, as at this point, the doctor is saying that he is fit to stand trial," Wong-Small answered, before setting the case for mention on September 11.
