Models demand their money back from agency

October 04, 2019

The manager of a local modelling agency is up against the ropes after he failed to repay money collected from clients.

Nathaniel Rose, manager of the Liquid Gold Modeling Agency, admitted collecting the money and said it was to defray the cost of training them to become professional models.

However, two women, Soshenia and Shannon, said the money was to pay for visa processing, to help them enter the US where they would work as models.

Both said they paid thousands but were never taken to the embassy.

But Rose insisted that the money was for training and grooming in areas such as speech and etiquette.

Despite offering to return the money, Rose has so far failed to do so. The initial September deadline for repayment has not been met.

Soshenia was also taken aback after Rose sent her a set of semi-nude photos that she had taken as part of a portfolio he was building for her.

Very unfair

"He sent them and my fiancee panicked and told me to tell him to get rid of them and just call it a loss, which is very unfair to me. I asked him for these pictures months ago, so I could have him delete them. He told me he hadn't edited them. Now, conveniently, they finally edit and he sent them to me," Soshenia said.

Rose admitted to sending the photos but said he had no intentions of sharing them with anyone else.

"I take pictures in casual wear, formal wear, swim wear and lingerie. I have been neglecting to send the pictures to all the models. Since it has come down to her publishing a story, I began sending her all her pictures. I sent her several pictures," he said.

He said that he would be seeking to settle the debts with the women.
