Four million-dollar reward for safe return of missing Clarendon men
A US$30,000 (approximately J$4,000,000) reward is being offered for the safe return of Clarendon businessman Kavan 'Jay' Graham and his three friends who went missing on April 7.
Graham, 40, who hails from Rocky Point, is the owner and operator of Jay's Petrol Station in his hometown. The other men are 30-year-old taxi operator Omar Bennett, also of Rocky Point, as well as 33-year-old Ricardo Mathra, a sound system operator, and 40-year-old Roy Hamilton, both of Longwood in Race Course.
Abandoned in Riverton
They left their Clarendon homes to visit the Hellshire Beach in Portmore, St Catherine, but they have not been seen or heard from since. The vehicles in which they were travelling in was found abandoned in Riverton, St Andrew, last Wednesday, April 8.
"We don't know if they had reached Hellshire Beach or not because we have not been able to get them on their phones since," a relative of Graham's told THE STAR.
He described Graham as a hard-working individual who lived to make his children and other loved ones happy.
"We know somebody know something so we are begging them to just tell the police what they know. Kavan is a really quiet hard-working person. He can be really jovial at times. He works hard and loves girls and likes to party. He is not involved in anything illegal and neither are any of the men who were in his company. I really don't know why anyone would want to do them any harm, if that is the case," he said.
Anyone knowing the whereabouts of Kavan Graham, Omar Bennett, Ricardo Mathra and Roy Hamilton are being asked to contact the Lionel Town police at 876-986-3233 or police 119.
