Make the most of freedom

July 09, 2020

Dear Diary,

I'm sharing my story so your readers will be grateful for it, and make the most of every free moment; because we will never know when evil will happen.

I am illegally incarcerated in Florida, and have been since June 22, 2012. Railroaded to prison by racist white people, for nothing other than the fact that I was a 32-year-old successful African American with a lot going on and a lot to look forward to, and was not a convicted felon. My case was reversed by court in 2015, after finding that I was wrongfully imprisoned, but my own court-appointed racist lawyer got the reversal dismissed. I tried to get him removed from my case but the court wouldn't let me.

Brother killed

I live in Atlanta, Georgia, and was introduced to racism for the first time when I got to Florida in 2012. I only came here to Jacksonville, Florida, because my youngest brother lived here and had been attacked, cut and shot. He subsequently died. At the funeral I was attacked by three men who were involved in my brother's attack and shooting to some degree. Fortunately, I was able to defend myself (stand your ground law). No one died, and the main perpetrator and his own sister confirmed that I only defended myself.

I lost everything I worked hard for my whole life, including friends. Subsequently, this hateful, wicked experience of oppression and degradation has almost completely destroyed my belief in Jah. I did a lot of good and expected that back, but I have been here suffering without friends or family for seven very long years. With extreme difficulty I have to make everything happen for myself. I am grateful that Jah made me smart and whole: A continual blessing.

My plan is to pursue several business ideas as soon as I get out, and try to find a beautiful woman to marry and have lots of children with. I have none yet, and no time to waste, I will be 39 in July.

Peace and blessings upon THE STAR and your readers.

M.T.
