Fisherman charged for murder in St Ann
Detectives attached to the St. Ann’s Bay police have charged 34-year-old Marvin Demetrius, a fisherman of Roaring River, Steer Town in St. Ann, for the murder of a man in Seaview district in the parish on Wednesday June, 17.
Dead is 61-year-old Everton Hamilton of Steer Town in the parish.
Reports are that about 6:20 a.m., residents stumbled upon the partially burnt remains of Hamilton in a ditch and summoned the police.
An investigation was launched which led to the arrest of Demetrius during an operation on Tuesday, June 30.
He was later charged with murder on Monday, July 20 following a question and answer session.
His court date is being finalised.
