Mandeville mayor tests positive for COVID, Bunting self-quarantines

August 24, 2020
Mayor of Mandeville, Donovan Mitchell

The mayor of Mandeville has confirmed that he has tested positive for COVID-19.

The mayor has been self-quarantined since nomination day and did not participate in the nomination day march or any other public activity.

The mayor, however, did attend the signing of the nomination form at the EOJ centre. He was advised by the Health Ministry today of his positive result and contact tracing has commenced for those he may have come in contact with.

Among those contacts is Peter Bunting.

Bunting currently has no symptoms but is currently in quarantine awaiting his results.

Bunting will no longer participate in the national debate scheduled for tomorrow, or any other campaign activities, until he receives his results.
