27 new COVID cases, 20 recoveries, one death

An 82 year old female from St Ann is the latest Jamaican to die as a result of COVID-19, pushing the death tally to 345. 

Meanwhile, of the 483 samples tested in the last 24 hours, 27 returned positive results increasing Jamaica's total confirmed cases to 15,462 with 2,958 being active.

Of the new cases, nine are males and 17 are females, with ages ranging from 2 days to 88 years.

In the meantime, there were 20 more recoveries, increasing the total to 11,981.

Some 93 persons are in hospital with 10 being moderately and 10 critically ill.

According to the Ministry of Health, eight persons are in government quarantine, while 20,689 are quarantined at home.
