Cops arrest man caught with firearm and ammunition

A Kingston man has been arrested, after he was caught by the police with a Smith and Wesson 9mm pistol along with thirteen 9mm rounds of ammunition, along Waltham Park road, Kingston 11 on Wednesday morning. 

Reports from the Hunts Bay police are that about 5:45 a.m., lawmen were on patrol when three men were seen along the roadway, acting in a manner that aroused their suspicion.

The men were accosted and searched, when the weapon was found in the waistband of one of them. 

He was subsequently arrested.

His identity is being withheld pending further investigations.
