Cops find illegal gun during snap operation, one man in custody
A 25-year-old Kingston man has been arrested and charged for breaches of the Firearms Act, after an illegal gun was found in a car he was driving on Thursday.
Charged with illegal possession of firearm, and illegal possesion of ammunition is Kevonne Warmington of Forth Nugent Drive, Kingston 2.
Police reports are that about 4:55 p.m., lawmen were conducting a snap operation along the Gordon Road in Kingston 14, when a Nissan AD Wagon motor car, driven by Warmington was signalled to stop.
A search was conducted and the weapon; a Sig Sauer 9mm pistol along with twelve 9mm rounds was found.
His court date is being finalised.
