After an angry motorist flashed a gun at her while in traffic, Tameika Nelson said she and the children she was travelling with are still traumatised.

"Me afraid right now to even go on the road in the car," she told THE STAR.

In the viral video, Nelson was in traffic when a man in a Honda CR-V pulls up alongside her. She rolls down her left-front passenger window and the man then takes out a firearm and waves it at the car while uttering a few words. A boy in the left-front passenger seat of Nelson's car, who she said is her son, is heard crying, "No sir, no sir, please, mommy just stop nuh". The Honda then moves off and Nelson is heard cursing. She said that before she started recording, she and the man had a small argument after he had 'bad drive' her.

"We were coming from up Papine and when we reach at the Waterfalls area, I was in the right lane on the deeper turn and he was in the left. When I turn, him bad drive and come over on my side, so me bawl out a bad word to him because I had to swing and almost crashed," she said. "Anyway, me drive gone about me business, then me big daughter say, 'Mommy, the van a come.' The man drive we down and say, 'Wine down the window'."

"So me grab me phone, because me a say this man must up to sumpn why him a drive me down. Me see the man pull out a gun and a say, 'Gwan chat nuh and see if me nuh shoot you in a you face'," she said. "Is like a God make me did take out me phone and a video, because maybe that's why him even drive off."

She added, "In the moment, me a say, 'Jesus Christ, we dead now.' A just that a go through me head. Me know in the video me a say, 'Shoot nuh', and me wrong fi say that; but to how me did frighten in the moment, me not even realise wah me a say." She said that his actions were not justified despite their argument.

"Me never do him anything for him to do that, me never pull no gun on him or throw stone in him car, so just because him know him have a gun him, want to show him power," she said. Nelson said that she has reported the incident to the police.
