Murder suspect captured, two firearms seized

The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) is reporting that the quick action of the St Catherine South police resulted in the capture of a murder suspect.

In a statement today, JCF said the man was a part of group of men suspected of committing a murder in Braeton, Portmore, St Catherine some time after 2 p.m on Friday.

"The police gave chase and intercepted the motor car in the 5 West area of Portmore. One firearm was taken from the murder suspect," the statement read.

A second firearm was also recovered as the police searched the area for the other two men who had escaped.

The search is still on for those other two other suspects.

This is the third firearm seized by the St Catherine South Police in two days.
