Man crashes into wall trying to flee cops, gun and ammunition seized

Detectives assigned to the Portmore police division seized a taurus semi-automatic pistol and a magazine containing three 9mm rounds of ammunition on Barracuda Avenue, Breaton, Portmore in St. Catherine yesterday.

Reports are that about 5:23 a.m., a team of police officers were conducting patrol in the area, when they signalled a white Honda Stream motorcar to stop.

The driver allegedly refused to stop then later collided in a perimeter wall.

He was searched and the firearm and ammunition found.

Further investigations led to the search of his home where a Sig Sauer cartridge was found containing one 9mm round.

Investigations are ongoing.
