Over 100 people arrested at illegal party in Papine

March 21, 2021

Members of the security forces arrested over 100 people on Saturday night after they were found at an illegal party in Hope Town, Papine, St. Andrew.

Police say the persons arrested will face charges under the Disaster Risk Management Act and the promoters will face additional charges under the Noise Abatement Act.

This has been the third party over the span of the weekend that had to be shut down by police in the Corporate Area.

In a series of videos shared by the Jamaican Constabulary Force (JCF) social media pages, hundreds of party-goers can be seen maskless, flouting the current COVID-19 measures in place.
