Five more COVID-19 deaths
Jamaica on Wednesday recorded five additional COVID-19 deaths, moving the tally to 697.
The deceased are:
• A 83-year-old female from Kingston & St Andrew
• A 84-year-old-male from Kingston & St Andrew
• An 60-year-old female from Kingston & St Andrew
• A 64-year-old male from Kingston & St Andrew
• An 74-year-old female from Kingston & St Andrew
Five other deaths are now being probed, increasing the total to 117.
The country also recorded 186 new infections with ages ranging from 49 days to 91 years, increasing the overall figure to 43,240 cases with 22,864 of them being active.
Meanwhile, 121 more persons have recovered, increasing the tally to 19,369
Some 367 persons are in hospital with 34 of them being moderately ill and 32 critically ill.
