Foreign national among three arrested in major drug bust in Manchester

Two Jamaican men and a Nicaraguan were arrested during an operation in New Forrest district in Manchester on Wednesday, where officers assigned to the Narcotics Division seized approximately 857 pounds of ganja.

Reports are that about 10 p.m., cops were in the area when a premises was searched that was occupied by the three men.

During the operation a search of the premises was conducted and the police seized the illicit drug which they say has an estimated street value of JMD 3,428,000 million.

Money in the sum of JMD 238,000, several lead sheets and lottery scamming paraphernalia were also seized.

The identities of the men are being withheld pending further investigations.
