15-y-o girl among four dead from COVID as Jamaica reports 225 new cases
A 15-year-old girl from St.Ann is among four of the latest Jamaicans to die as a result of COVID-19, pushing the death tally to 756.
The other deceased are three men from Kingston and St Andrew aged 82, 64 and 33.
Three more fatalities are under investigation, moving that figure to 127.
Meanwhile, there were 225 new infections with ages ranging from 11 days to 98 years, increasing total confirmed cases to 44,867 with 23,392 being active.
Of the new cases, 122 are women and 103 are men.
The country’s positivity has increased to 19.0%.
In the meantime, there were 116 more recoveries, increasing the total to 20,391.
Some 234 persons are in hospital with 12 being moderately ill and 26 critically ill.
