Missing for a year - Still no sight of Romario ‘Chargie’ Stewart
On June 5, Sharon Cunningham held a small party with a few loved ones to celebrate the 27th birthday of her son, Romario 'Chargie' Stewart. Her sister and his friends turned up at her home to share drinks, but the man of the moment was not there.
Stewart disappeared without a trace nearly a year earlier - June 29, 2020. At the time of his disappearance, he was employed as a bearer with 7Krave. He reportedly made a delivery along Spanish Town Road in Kingston and then disappeared thereafter.
"It has been rough and stressful, especially if mi hear a bike," Cunningham said. "There are times when I am on the road and I will see somebody pass on a bike and I keep looking if it's him. His disappearance is like a mystery," Cunningham said.
The worried mother said that it is unlike her son to stay away from his family. She also said that she is unaware of him having any enemies.
Although it has been a year, Cunningham is holding on to hope that he is still alive. She is seeking the public's help in locating him.
"If he is out there somewhere, please release him so he can return to his family, or if he was killed, please let us know where his body is so that we can get some form of closure. I really love and miss my son. He is a fun-loving and friendly person. He loved to keep parties, and he gets very excited whenever he is doing these events," she said.
Stewart, who resided in Duhaney Park, Kingston 20, is of dark complexion, medium build and about 170 centimetres, or 5' 7", tall.
Anyone who may have information on his whereabouts is being asked to contact the Duhaney Park Police at (876) 933-4280 or the police emergency number 119.
