Rytikal free from gun charges
Dancehall artiste Rytikal has been freed of illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition.
In the Gun Court this morning, the judge upheld arguments from defence attorney Able-Don Foote that there were discrepancies in the prosecution's case.
The police had reported that on January 28, 2021, while conducting a patrol in Eight Miles, Bull Bay, the artiste was questioned and following a search of his vehicle, a Taurus .380 pistol along with 12 rounds of ammunition were found.
Rytikal, whose real name is Ryan McFarlane, explained that the weapon was a prop for a music video, however, he was taken into custody and charged.
