Couple killed during robbery at Westmoreland party

The Westmoreland police are investigating the murder of a couple in Springfield, who were killed during the alleged robbery of a fundraising event for a cancer patient.

The deceased are 31-year-old Marshall Gayle, otherwise known as 'Cheeze Chips,' and 23-year- old Sherece Murray, known as 'Shyan.'

Initial reports say around 8:30 p.m., six men entered the party well armed.

They approached the bar where Gayle, and Murray were located and shot them both, before grabbing a bag of funds collected and fleeing.

The event organised by Marshall aimed to raise funds for his brother who was diagnosed with cancer.
