12 people shot at Franklyn Town party

The East Kingston Police have confirmed that 12 people were shot and injured while at a party along Wellington Avenue in Franklyn Town, Kingston last night.

Senior Superintendent of Police Tomielee Chambers, who heads the division, told THE STAR that the promoters of the event had received a permit from the police.

She also said that seven of the gunshot victims have since been released from the hospital.

Chambers said that the police have yet to establish a motive for the attack.
