Man beats woman with baby stroller
A Corporate Area man who reportedly used a baby stroller to hit a woman is expected to be sentenced when he next appears in the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court.
Ramone Hemmans pleaded guilty to assault occasioning actual bodily harm and malicious destruction of property yesterday. It was reported by the complainant that Hemmans used the stroller to hit her on her head and used a vase to hit her on her hand, causing her to suffer pain and bruising. The court heard further that Hemmans damaged a bag of groceries that the complainant had. It is unclear what caused the confrontation.
Senior Parish Judge Lori-Anne Cole-Montaque issued a subpoena for the complainant to attend court on the next occasion and Hemmans, who is on bail, is expected to return to court on May 9 for sentencing.
