The driver involved in the death of a Jamaica Defence Force soldier on South Camp Road in St Andrew has been warned for prosecution.

Reports from the Cross Roads police are that about 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, the driver of a Nissan Latio motor car that was travelling towards Cross Roads allegedly lost control of the vehicle, mounted the embankment and hit 36-year-old Garron Anderson, of Burnside Hill, Red Hills in the parish, who was walking along the roadway. The vehicle subsequently caught ablaze. The police and fire brigade units were alerted and Anderson was transported to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
