Fluffy has been missing since July 21.

It has been almost a year since Fluffy, a 10-year-old golden brown and black retriever went missing from his home in Mona Heights, St Andrew.

His owner Yvette King says she is longing to be reunited with her four-legged friend and is offering a $20,000 for his safe return.

"His mother had 10 of them and he was the fluffiest, so I called him 'Fluffy'. I miss my dog and I love him and he went missing on the morning of July 21 last year and no one has seen him since," she said.

"While I was at work, I got a call from a relative that he cannot find Fluffy and he wasn't in the yard. Nobody could give an account of how the dog left the yard and what happened. He just disappeared like that. The place is grilled and he couldn't break through, so I don't know how he got out," she said. King said she will not rest until he is located.

"When he was younger, he used to love to come at the back of the yard and play. He would come by my bedside and just lay down. He was very loving and playful," King said.

King said she remains optimistic that Fluffy will be found alive but is seeking the public's assistance. Fluffy also has a distinguishable scar.

"Because he was always fighting with his 'brother', he has a dark scar in his face below his left eye," she said. "I would want to think that he is alive because I cannot stand the thought of him being killed. I have been searching for him and I have made posts on social media but I have not got any particular response that he was spotted anywhere. I am just asking anyone who has him to return him, please."
