UPDATE: 10-y-o found dead in old fridge
The Harbour View police are currently probing the death of a 10-year-old boy whose body was found in an old refrigerator near the coast to coast concrete factory earlier today.
The communications arm of the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) confirmed that a child died and the matter is being investigated.
Further reports are that an elder sibling may have knowledge of what transpired.
Head of the Kingston Eastern division Senior Superintendent of police (SSP) Tommie Lee Chambers told The Gleaner that she is aware of “an incident”.
“Nobody update me on the situation for me to confirm. I am aware but haven’t received any confirmation as yet. My crime officer informed me that some persons (police) left to speak with the father. Until I get some confirmation then I would be able to”, SSP Chambers said.
More information to come as investigations are ongoing.
