‘Poor and Boasy’ pleads guilty to fraud charges
The 2009 winner of the now discontinued Magnum Kings and Queens of Dancehall competition, ‘Poor and Boasy,’ will now sing a new tune, having found himself embroiled in a legal battle.
The artist, whose given name is Omar Johnson, pleaded guilty to uttering forged documents, conspiracy to defraud and obtaining money by means of false pretence, when he appeared this morning in the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court.
Allegedly, Johnson handed over counterfeit US dollar bills to the complainant, in exchange for real Jamaican currency.
