'Digi' charged in Manchester kidnapping case
The police have confirmed that 18-year-old Dejaune Hamilton, one of the three men who attempted to kidnap a woman along New Green Road in Manchester has been arrested and charged.
Hamilton, otherwise called ‘Digi’, and two others attempted to abduct a woman on July 25 but were challenged by the police during their escape.
A shootout ensued, and 27-year-old Manchester resident Jermaine Robinson was fatally shot during the confrontation, while Hamilton and the other man escaped on foot.
Hamilton turned himself in with his lawyer and was pointed out during an identification parade by the complainant.
He was charged on Sunday, August 28 with Kidnapping, Shooting with Intent, Illegal Possession of Firearm and Illegal Possession of Ammunition,
His court date is being finalised.
