A "nice, sexy bad gal show" is what Dovey Magnum is promising her fans when she makes her longed-for debut at Sting on December 26, and, for better or worse, the Bruk it Off goddess always keeps her promise.

Although Sting is notorious for its lyrical clashes in front of an equally notorious audience, Dovey will skip over that hurdle and go straight into a performance.

"Mi excited like crazy. Dem think a dem excited, but a me. Sting is a big platform that everybody wants to be on. I am not booked for a clash ... that's not what Sting wants for me. I have 10 minutes and I am going to squeeze in as many songs as possible. I am going to do my best to give a top-tier production with dancers and everything. Watch out, the sexy witch is coming through," Dovey told THE WEEKEND STAR, while proclaiming her fascination for Annie Palmer, the White Witch of Rose Hall.

Dovey has been in the island since last week, turning up the heat at Sting rehearsals and interacting with her peers, which she pointed out is important.

"When me pop up at the rehearsal every man jaw drop a grung. Dem a ask 'A who dat?' and then somebody else seh 'Oonu nuh see seh a Dovey.' And from then it was all good."

Equally important for her presentation at Grizzly's Plantation Cove in Priory, St Ann, will be her choice of dress. The Sting stage is known for showcasing some of the most exciting designs and Dovey intends to be listed among the best dressed at Sting 2022.

She has reached out to fashion designer and stylist Shamara Sahadeo, better known as 'Shampagne'. Under her Seora Clothing brand, Shampagne has designed and styled Lila Ike, Kabaka Pyramid, Spice, Ding Dong, Protoje, Jesse Royal and Skillibeng.

"She's so dope and just have a different flair. Shampagne has done some stuff for me and she is a thickas like me and she know how fi buy the right material fi grab gal belly and dem tings deh," an amused Dovey shared.

Musically, Dovey is focused on putting out new songs, one of which dropped today. A collab with Sukihana Goat, the song is titled Bad Gyal Team and is produced by Grung Troops Musiq and Zimi Records.
