Ron Young, the attorney-at-law for dancehall star Popcaan, has indicated that sound issues that plagued his client at the recent Burna Boy concert have added to previous problems with popular booking agent, manager and publicist, Sharon Burke of Solid Agency.

"As stated publicly, our client is very troubled by the sound issues that occurred at the Burna Boy concert. However, at no point in the video in question did our client state that his comments on Ms Burke related to said sound issues," Young said in a statement on Thursday.

He added, "There are other incidents which are also of serious concern to our client. Nevertheless, our client is open to dialogue, but we have not yet received any communication from Ms Burke or her counsel."

Young told THE WEEKEND STAR that this response is his team's final public statement on the matter at this time.

Solid Agency was the publicist for the Burna Boy Live concert in Jamaica. Following the concert, the organisers, Twisted Entertainment, Duke Concept, and Solid Agency, issued an apology for the audio challenges.

"We recognise and apologise for technical difficulties with the sound on the night of the event. We also apologise for flaws in crowd control for particularly the Ultra VIP. We are committed going forward to ensuring a better experience where these are concerned, fulfilling a better overall experience," the organisers said.

Days after the show, Popcaan took to social media, blasting Burke and her company. He subsequently dropped a video in which he further outlined grievances, also calling out dancehall veteran Shaggy.

Isat Buchanan, the attorney-at-law representing Solid Agency, did not give a comment on the issue to THE WEEKEND STAR up to press time on Thursday.
