'Donkey' charged following physical altercation

The police in Hanover have arrested and charged 31-year-old Shamir Smith, otherwise called ‘Donkey’, after he allegedly inflicted several wounds with a machete to a man he had an altercation with.

According to reports, about 2:00 a.m. on April 22, ‘Donkey’ and the complainant were in an altercation. Smith left and returned with a machete which he used to inflict chop wounds on the victim.

The victim was taken to hospital where he was admitted for treatment.

Smith was charged after a question and answer session. His court date is being finalised.
