Taxi man shot dead in Hanover

Gunmen shot and killed a taxi operator in Green Island in Hanover on Sunday night. 

He has been identified as 40-year-old Oswald Henry of Caudwell District, also in Hanover.

According to the Green Island police, about 9:30 p.m. Henry was parked in the vicinity of Green Island square awaiting passengers, when he was ambushed by one of two men travelling on a motorcycle.

The gunman opened fire hitting Henry multiple times before fleeing the scene on the motorcycle.

The police were summoned and upon arrival, Henry who was discovered suffering from gunshot wounds was rushed to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
