Judge remands men held with 12 cellphones

Four men who were held in connection with the seizure of two illegal firearms, and 12 cellular phones, were ordered to be remanded when they appeared in court on Tuesday. 

They have been identified as 30-year-old Michael Harris, otherwise call Mice, Jaheim Levy 19-year-old, Janai Young, 29, and 26-year-old Oniel  Russell.

The men were all charged with possession of prohibited weapon and unauthorised possession of ammunition, and are expected to return to court on May 26, 2023.

It is alleged that about 4:00 p.m. on April 22, 2023, the police conducted an intelligence-driven operation along the Riversdale Main Road in St Catherine.

A motorcar with the four men were intercepted and a search conducted.

The police found two nine milli-metre pistols loaded with 12 rounds of ammunition inside and 12 cellular phones which they could not account for. 

The men were arrested and subsequently charged.
