Man jailed for stealing friend’s cow money

A man who sold a few heads of his cattle for $510,000 and decided to keep the money in his house was shocked to find out that the money kept disappearing, despite him not spending any of it.

The man, who is from Water Lane district, Clarendon, became suspicious of his friend and tricked him into thinking nobody would be home. He then hid inside his own home and waited to see who was stealing his money.

According to the police, the alleged thief, 23-year-old Eric Forrester, otherwise called 'Chopi' and 'Kush', of Water Lane, entered his house and began searching. Police said he allegedly stole $10,000 from a dresser inside his friend's room.

Forrester was then apprehended by the complainant and during the confrontation, he brandished keys that he used to access the complainant's home.

He was subsequently handed over to the police and charged with housebreaking and larceny.
