Taximan killed in Hanover

St O'Brian Downey, a taxi operator from Sandy Bay in Hanover, was shot and killed at his on Tuesday night, the police have confirmed. 

It is reported that Downey, otherwise called 'Cuban', was at his house when he was ambushed and shot multiple times by armed men.

The police were summoned and upon arrival, Downey was rushed to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The Sandy Bay and Lucea police have commenced investigations into the killing.
