St Thomas youths implicated in aggravated robbery
Two youths from St Thomas, 19-year-old Micheal Scott and 21-year-old Shamar Burke have been arrested and charged after they allegedly used knives to injure and rob a man in the Nut River district.
According to the St Thomas police, about 8 a.m. on Saturday, July 1, the young men had an argument with the victim.
It is alleged that following the argument, Scott held onto the man, while both men used a knife to inflict several wounds to the complainant’s neck.
It is further alleged that Burke then took $ 20,000.00 from the man's front pocket before escaping in the area.
The man made a report to the police. Scott and Burke were consequently arrested and charged.
Their court date is being finalised.
