37 Haitians arrive in Portland by boat

A boat carrying 37 Haitians, including 10 children believed to be below the age of nine, landed on the shores of Boston Beach in Portland a short while ago. 

The police are currently monitoring the situation. The Haitians appeared to be in good health, but complained about being hungry. 

The STAR understands concerned residents from the Boston community have fed the Haitians while they wait for the arrival of a medical team.
