Police seize illegal ammunition in Tivoli

Cops attached to the Kingston Western Division seized 13 rounds of ammunition during an operation at Drecketts Place in Tivoli Gardens, Kingston 14 on Sunday.

It is reported that a team of lawmen were on patrol in the Drecketts Place area sometime after 4:00 p.m. when they saw two men acting in a suspicious manner.

On sight of the police the men opened gunfire in the direction of the lawmen before fleeing the scene.

Further investigation by the police yielded one magazine and the rounds of ammunition along the path the men allegedly ran.

No one was injured during the incident. No arrest was made. Investigations are on-going.
