Customer service rep charged with larceny
Keniece Johnson, a 22-year-old customer service representative, has been arrested and charged after he allegedly broke into a man's shop and stole money while he was away.
She has been charged with house breaking and larceny.
According to the Black River Police, about 1:20 p.m. on November 5, the shop owner locked his business establishment and left. He later received a telephone call claiming that Johnson was inside the shop.
On his return, he noticed a window was opened and an entry gained through the back door of the premises. He made further checks and realised that money was stolen.
A report was made to the police and an investigation launched.
During the investigation Johnson was arrested on Tuesday, November 28 and was charged on Wednesday, November 29 after a question-and-answer session in the presence of her attorney.
A court date has not been being finalised.
