Kyle Butler embraces fatherhood

Footballer Kyle Butler says becoming a father "is a beautiful experience". The 26-year-old attacker and his wife, Brytney, welcomed a son, Adonis Jeremiah Kyle Craig Butler, on December 29.

Butler, who is also a music producer, is overjoyed to have his bundle of joy in his life. He, was, however, quick to point out that parenting a newborn is not an easy feat.

"I have been having whole heap of sleepless nights, and have been helping out with the feeding because my wife had the C-section, so she wasn't as mobile. She had a complication as well, but she is home now so I have been doing the feeding, rocking the baby, burping the baby and also giving her whatever she needs, because I have to be by her side," he said.

He provided some insight into what a typical day looks like for him as a newly-minted father.

"A typical day as a dad is tummy time with my son, rocking him to bed, waking him up, feeding him and checking on my wife, and then doing it all over again," he said.

Butler's dad, Craig, is considered a coaching genius, and his brother, Leon Bailey, plies his trade in the English Premier League with Aston Villa. Butler has predicted that Jeremiah "will be the next footballer" in the family.
