Angry bees attack hotel worker

A Hanover man had to jump into a pool and seek medical attention after resurfacing, after he disturbed a hive of bees that were in a tree which was torn down by Hurricane Beryl.

Information reaching THE WEEKEND STAR is that the man, who is an employee of a major hotel on the north coast, was clearing branches from a power line on the north coast hotel's property when he unknowingly provoked the bees.

Attacked and swarmed, he leapt into a pool for safety. While chopping away at the branches, the bees were disturbed and attacked the man, swarming his head. He had to run, and found relief by jumping into a nearby swimming pool on the hotel property to save himself.

"Him head swell big in seconds, only him tongue remained the same size," one hotel worker who witnessed the ordeal told the news team.

The worker with the swollen face had to be rushed to a medical facility for treatment.
