Desperate mom pleads for return of missing 2-y-o son

For the past two months, all Anshellee Trought has endured are countless sleepless nights and profound uncertainty as she desperately searches for her missing two-year-old son.

On Wednesday, June 26, young Roshawn English, affectionately called 'Poppy,' vanished from their yard in Red Ground, Old Harbour, St Catherine, around 5 p.m. Trought said she briefly stepped inside their house to collect items for Roshawn's bath and when she returned her baby was gone.

Despite both parents' immediate efforts to locate him and a search by the police, there have been no confirmed sightings or leads on his whereabouts.

"Right now mi reach the point weh mi frustrated," Trought told THE STAR, adding that mentally, she is finding it incredibly difficult to cope.

"It a get to me now; right now my mental health gone to zero, negative zero. Mi not even can try focus fi seh mi a guh back pan a work because mi have young baby," said Trought, who also has a six-month-old son.

The concerned mother said that she thinks daily about the well-being of her missing child and struggles to fulfil needs, despite trying to stay strong.

"Mi find it hard fi put food a mi mouth, because mi nuh know if him a eat; mi nuh know if mi baby alright.... . All now mi nuh stop cry because all mi can think 'bout a him, day and night," said Trought, adding that she is pleading for the assistance of anyone who has information to help her bring her son safely home.

"If you have any information regarding the whereabouts of my son, please come forward and share it with me or the authorities. Your assistance could be instrumental in bringing him home safely," Trought said.

"I implore anyone who may be holding him or knows of his location to please release him or provide information that can lead to his safe return," Trought added.
